Solo Voice Lessons

Class Description

Receive one-one-one instruction, as well as small group learning. Soloists will have the opportunity to perform twice during the course (encouraged, but not required). Does your teen love to sing? Do they want to learn how to improve their performance and all techniques to make beautiful music with their voice? Course Instructor: Molly Pitter Music has always been a passion of mine. I am a homeschool mom of 7 with a BA in Bible and Theology and Music and Worship, vocal emphasis. I grew up shy as can be, but loved expressing myself on stage with various styles and repertoire. In college I was part of a select octet choir who traveled to churches two Sundays a month to promote our school. I have been a part of worship teams since my early youth and have led several groups for adults and youth in churches and camps. I have thirteen years experience teaching private piano, voice, violin and guitar lessons, and nine years experience teaching general music/choir/drama in (very) rural small-town K-8 public schools. Teaching and sharing music brings me much joy and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to direct choir at World of Wonder! Students learn together the fundamental building blocks of singing (body alignment, breath management, diction, resonance), theory, sight singing, and performance craft.
