Class Description
Dive into the weird, wild, and wonderfully gross world of human biology! In this hands-on class, students aged 7-12 will explore the fascinating inner workings of the human body, from the mysteries of blood and guts to the marvels of microbes and body noises. Through fun experiments, creative crafts, and interactive activities, kids will learn how their amazing bodies function—while discovering the strange and gross facts that make biology unforgettable! Meet Emily Braunstein: Hi, I’m Emily, a mom of two awesome kids and a science-loving ICU nurse. I graduated from NKU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and have been working as an RN for 14 years. I recently made the jump into homeschooling. I’m passionate about creating hands-on, fun learning experiences that help kids discover the wonders of the world around them. I love bringing my nursing background into the classroom, especially when it comes to teaching biology and all the weird, gross, and fascinating parts of the human body. Whether we’re exploring science in Grossology or building forts in Builder’s Club, I aim to make learning exciting and memorable. When I’m not playing nurse or homeschool mom, you’ll find me at home napping (my favorite hobby), designing new curricula, or planning trips to national parks! I believe education should be fun, nurturing, and full of discovery, and I’m excited to share that journey with others!
