Class Description

Great stories are a fabulous way to learn about our world and ourselves. Talking with others about these stories enhances that experience. We will have a discussion oriented time with everyone encouraged to participate! We will all read the same book together and talk about the story itself as well as themes and characters. We will also learn new vocabulary & explore and appreciate the author’s use of language to communicate. We will follow rabbit trails and enjoy treats inspired by the stories. First two books of the semester will be: Owls in the Family by Farley Mowat and By The Great Horn Spoon by Sid Fleischman Course Instructor: Abi Craig I’m a 50 something mom to 6 adopted kiddos ages 5-20. My husband and I are both life long learners, and home based learning has always been part of our family. I have always loved to read and STILL stay up way past my bedtime engrossed in a story! I also enjoy a variety of kitchen projects, growing flowers and veggies, and getting into the woods to hike when I can.
