STEM Builders
In this exciting hands-on class, young engineers will explore the evolution of building from the earliest shelters to futuristic space stations. Each week, students will work together to design, build, and test projects that teach real STEM concepts—balance, stability, force, and creative problem-solving.
We’ll start small with mini teepees and log cabins, then scale up to life-sized structures, bridges, skyscrapers, dams, and even a moon station! Using simple materials like wood craft sticks, cardboard, recyclables, and tape, kids will practice teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking as they imagine and build their own solutions.
The course ends with a “Mega Build Showcase,” where students choose their favorite project and bring it to life in a bigger, better way to share with families. No prior building experience required—just curiosity and a willingness to create! Please note there is no class on Friday 9/12. Makeup will be on 12/4.
